Context before candle
A rejection candle at a weekly range low differs from the same shape in random mid-range action. Ask where price came from and what liquidity it tested before naming a pattern.
Close and acceptance
A wick shows testing, while the close reveals accepted trade. A wick through a boundary and return is different from a clear close outside followed by continuation.
Displacement and compression
Sequential strong candles closing near extremes can show control, while overlap and compression near a level suggest balance or absorption. Speed alone has little meaning without location.
Turning observation into a plan
Define entry condition, stop, target and the point at which the pattern expires. A good market description is not a trade until its risk can be measured and tested.
